Align the cash you receive
Enter your required net cash and each quote’s base amount, fee treatment, nominal rate and number of monthly payments. Net cash below the target is a shortfall, not a cheaper way of covering the same bill. Net cash above it is excess borrowing; the tool flags the difference instead of pretending the offers are identical.
Compare total cost and payment pressure separately
Each quote shows payment, total scheduled repayment, separate upfront charges, usable cash and modeled borrowing cost. A smaller payment can come with a higher total cost. Choose which constraint matters—minimum cash, a payment ceiling or a deadline—before comparing cost among routes that actually meet it.
Inspect fees and payment dates
Check whether a fee is withheld, financed or separate and whether the first payment timing matches the baseline. A regular-month model does not absorb odd-period interest. If one product is a card, an overdraft or a single-payment advance, use its actual cash flows rather than forcing it into a monthly installment shape.
Export your comparison notes
Download both sets of assumptions and results together. This preserves what you compared even if a provider changes an advertised rate later. No provider receives the calculator when you calculate or export it; opening an external product page is a separate step.
Use the result to narrow real options
When both quotes meet the same cash target, inspect cost and payment pressure side by side. The calculator does not choose a sponsored winner or predict approval. Before continuing, compare the selected model with the actual agreement, provider identity and your affordability result.
Boundary Cases for Compare Two Loan Offers on the Same Cash Need
Normal: Two quotes each deliver $1,000 net; compare payment and total outflow. Edge: Quote A advertises $1,000 but deducts 5%, delivering $950. Quote B delivers $1,000. A is not an equal-cash alternative until the shortfall is resolved. Incomplete: A quote has no fee schedule; label its cost incomplete rather than assigning a zero fee.
