Texas Loan Options: Verify the Provider and Product

For a Texas loan comparison, verify the business role and exact product before looking at the payment. A licensed lender, a bank-originated product, a credit access business and an informational website are not the same service.

Use this state checklist to keep current options separate from the past Holiday Finance branch network.

Check a Texas Provider and Product

Identify the provider’s role

Find the legal creditor and identify any intermediary separately. Do not assume that the brand at the top of a page is the entity that will issue the loan.

For example, Oportun's observed state disclosures place Texas among states where applicants may receive a loan originated by a named bank partner. That is a reason to read the actual agreement, not to assume every Oportun transaction uses one issuer. Oportun: State licenses and disclosures

Check the applicable regulator record

Match the legal entity, product and relevant authorization record. An OCCC enforcement entry concerns the entity and activity described in that record; it does not authorize another operator using a similar name.

The original Holiday Finance master file and revocation belong in regulatory history. Do not use those past license numbers as current credentials. Texas OCCC L25-033 final order

Find the past Holiday Finance records

The past network included thirteen identified customer branches and a separate executive office. Those records document the past company's footprint; they are not a present service map.

Use documented locations to match an old address, phone or branch number. Keep an existing-account inquiry separate from a new-product comparison.

Continue only with currently verified service

A current option needs a named issuer, Texas availability for the exact product, material terms, a verified destination and an understood data recipient. Record the check date and any unresolved field.

The local planner does not issue or submit loans. If a current product condition is missing, keep using the budget and amount tools while verifying that condition rather than substituting past details.

Local Cases That Change the Texas Loan Options Route

Normal: a provider documents Texas access for a particular unsecured personal product. Compare that product's terms, not its entire catalog by assumption.

Edge: the same brand offers another product in different states. Texas access for the first does not prove access for the second.

Incomplete: a regulator record is found but the creditor on the proposed agreement is different. Resolve the identity before treating the record as relevant.
